Atalie Abramovici is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist that specializes in working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem work, relationship struggles, separation and coparenting, trauma, grief, life transitions, ADHD, and trichotillomania.

Atalie provides counseling for individuals and couples. Her therapy style is refreshing and authentic, and is often considered by others to be “a breath of fresh air”.

Coming from a Humanistic and Strengths-Based approach, Atalie believes deeply in each individual’s fullest potential and their ability to fulfill it. Atalie passionately believes that empowering the relationship with the self allows one to effectively cultivate healthier relationships with others. Her belief in the significance of fostering a strong relationship with the self stems from an understanding that it is the longest and most intimate relationship we have.

Atalie also uses modalities such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches.

Atalie, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#144784), received her Bachelors degree in Psychology with an Honors in the major from the University of California, Santa Cruz and completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University's Graduate School of Education and Psychology, Malibu campus. 

During her training and internship experience at the Center for Professional Counseling in North Hollywood, Atalie had the opportunity to work with teens, adults, couples, and families, providing support for clients experiencing relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. 

Before pursuing her Masters Degree, Atalie worked as a private tutor and Transitional Kindergarten teacher working with individuals of various ages, learning styles, and cultures. Atalie also gained experience working as a Behavioral Therapist and Case Manager, implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) with children with developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder.

Atalie’s native language is Hebrew and her bilingual fluency in both Hebrew and English allows her to not only connect with a wider range of individuals, but also understand the intricacies that language and culture bring to a person’s identity and self-expression. Her vast experiences in travel have provided her with the opportunity to cultivate cultural humility and cultural competence. Her travels have also sparked a deep-rooted sense of curiosity and intrigue, as she is always craving to learn more about those who may come from similar or diverse backgrounds.

Atalie became certified as a Registered Yoga Teacher in Koh Samui, Thailand. She possesses a wealth of knowledge in mindfulness practices, breathwork, and the power of cultivating a stance of non-judgement, self-study, and compassion. Her personal yoga practice and experience teaching yoga have given her a fundamental understanding of the profound impact of addressing trauma work at the somatic level. 

Atalie offers earnest and undivided interest and attention into each client’s process, which exemplifies her passion and dedication to the therapeutic process.
